Nowadays, citizens require a faster resolution when dealing with the public administration processes. This demand is also in line with the need to reduce paper usage. In this scenario, the technology behind electronic and digital signature is an efficient solution. The National Technological University is the academic institution pioneering the implementation of this system in the region. In this talk we present the fundamentals of electronic/digital signatures, the related regulatory framework in the public sector, how to align with them by using a solution built by a local software factory, and the successful implementation in the University.
